摘要

The proposed process for continuously separating cerium from the other rare earths was successfully demon strated in a dual-purpose IC column. Satisfactory separation was achieved with 2M HNO, strip solutions (ICX)nmaximize the aqueous phase residence time. More than 99% of the europium was extracted under these conditions. The recovery actually exceeded that obtained in room temperature runs at low feed pH's where the rare earths were not significantly complexed by HEDTA.
