PRECISE REDETERMINATION OF THE PK ωK VALUE AND THE FLUORESCENCE YIELD OF Cr

Investigations on nuclides decaying by electron capture depend on the knowledge of capture probabilities and fluo¬rescence yields. In the case of the fluorescence yield of Cr a difference of more than 30% can be found between the figures given in literaturen1-6) which in certain cases exceeds the accuracy stated more than 10 times. Such a disagreement seems to indicate rather high systematic errors.
