The main characteristic of the field of strong interactions at high energies is that we really have no theory. The same may almost be said about the low-energy range, but at least there we have a wealth of experimental information to help us.nThroughout these lectures only strongly interacting particles will be considered, i.e. the mesons and baryons. For ease of nomenclature they will sometimes be referred to as hadrons and unless stated otherwise will be assumed to be spinless.
