The Kiwi-B4E-301 reactor was tested approximately 8 minutes at full power (maximum average fuel element temperature approximately 2100°C) on August 28, 1964. The reactor was restarted on September 10, 1964, and run at full power for 2-1/2 minutes.nOn the following day, the reactor was returned to the- Maintenance, Assembly and Disassembly (MAD) Building at NRDS.
