A known weight of 1,4-dioxane is added to the sample. The mixture is chromatographer on a Celine column containing 10% of polyethylene glycol 400 at a temperature of 100°C. The peak height ratio of dioxide to acetone and dioxins to methyl ethyl ketene is then used to obtain the concentration of each ketene in the sample.
