As the result of energetic prospections, many promising uranium deposits, have been discovered in sedimentary rocks in the so-called "massif" regions.nAs to the syngenetic type, the uranium mineralization is observed in the black shale beds of Paleozoic age related to bedded manganese deposits. These deposits are considered as potential resources at present.nIn Japan the most important deposits, such as the deposits of these districts of Ningyo-toge, Oguni and Kanamaru, Okutango and Tono, are those of ground water type.
