It is a pleasure to participate in this 1966 Annual International Conference and Exhibit of the Canadian Nuclear Association. This is my first opportunity to come to Winnipeg and to visit Whiteshell. I am impressed by the progress in putting WR-1, your newest test reactor, into service for the development of fuels for Canadian reactors. Recent agreements for use of WR-1 in similar U.S. and Euratom fuel development work reflect widespread recognition of the success of the WR-1 project.
