NORIC: A FORTRAN IV CODE FOR COMPUTING OPTIMUM PLANT DESIGNS FOR THE DESALINATION OF SEAWATER AND THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY

A computer program, ORIC (Oak Bidge Integrated Code), has been written for the IBM-7090 for determining that'combination of water plant process variables which will result in the minimum total annual cost of an integrated plant complex for the desalination of seawater and the production of electricity using nuclear power. The integrated plant con-sists of a reactor plant for the production of steam, a turbine-generator plant for the production of. electricity, and a multi-stage flash evaporation plant for the production of fresh water,
