摘要

The effects of ionizing radiation (Cobalt-60 gamma-ray) on the central nervous system was studied electroencephalographically on the unstrained and unanesthetized rabbits, which were implanted with permanent electrodes into cortical area and several subcortical regions under nembutal anesthesia.nl) The phenomena of elevated threshold for inducing EEG afterreaction (EA) was observed constantly above 100 R following wnole head single irradiation, and its degree and recovering process was found highly dose-dependent.nSignificant effects could be observed as low as 20 R, although individual variation predominated under 100 R.n2) Spontaneous EA was inhibited transitionally by single head exposure over 1000 R. The ratio of spontaneous EA stage to EEG spindle burst stage- was found to be a sensitive indicator.
