Where more detailed information on shapes, latest prices and purities is needed concerning a particular metal, the author suggests direct correspondence with the producers. It is intended that items included in this report be only those grades of metals that are produced (or modified) by the designated American pro¬ducers and are either supplied directly by these producers or by their associated representatives.nIt is intended that this report include grades of metals varying in purity from ultra-pure (or super-pure) to, in some cases, essentially commercial grades of metals. An effort has been made to include various available forms of the metals although some forms, such as powders, may be less pure than commercial grades of the metals in other forms.
