This seventh revision of the authority list of corporate names is the first to be printed from a computer-maintained file and is reproduced directly without the usual prepublication editing. This edition also is the first to conform to the cataloging rules adopted by the Committee on Scientific and Technical Information (COATI) of the Federal Council for Science and Technology, to which the user is referred for an explanation of the choice of headings and cross-reference structure.nAll names are preceded by code numbers assigned to facilitate manipulation by computer. Accepted forms to be used in cataloging reports appear in capital letters.
