A CONSIDERATION OF HIGH NICKEL CONTENT ALLOYS FOR FTR CORE STRUCTURAL MATERIALS

This review will answer these questions by first enumera¬ting the alloys that should be considered based primarily on practicality, experience, and preliminary physics requirements. These alloys will then be further screened from physics and cor¬rosion standpoints. The thermal and irradiation stability of the materials will be examined, followed by a review of the fabricability and availability, and cost of the respective mate¬rials. The final step will be to make recommendations based on the findings of this review.
