Mechanism of Genetic Regulation. Comprehensive Progress Report, 1965-1967

摘要

Research progress is reported for the period 1965 through 1967. In order to obtain a biological system for the study of gene regulation, a study of the phage-bacterium complex and the uninfected host was begun. Accomplishments include the isolation and characterization of phages for B. subtilis for studies on transcriptional and translational controls, the identification of factors which control the functional capacity of transfer RNA, and the analysis of the initiation of protein synthesis in B. subtilis.
