These Regulations impose requirements for the protection of persons employed in factories and other places to which the Factories Act 1961 applies against ionizing radiations arising from radioactive substances sealed in a container or bonded wholly within material. These Regulations revoke the Ionizing Radiations (Sealed Sources) Regulations 1961 and came into operation in 1969. (Atomindex citation 12:589460)
