It is a recent development that a large streamer chamber is being used in experimental high-energy physics. The photographic recording of particle interactions combined with the possibility to activate the chamber with a fast selective trigger gives this particle detection device a place between bubble chamber and wire spark chambers.nA first effort has been to compute in a conventional way spatial track coordinates from film measurements and to use for the least square optimization of 4 the parameters our computer procedure CIRCE, which, provided the input are spatial coordinates, is well matched to the fitting problem discussed above.
