THE STRUCTURE OF DATA FILES 78 AND 79, FOR NIOBIUM, AND FILE 81 FOR MOLYBDENUM, IN THE U.K.A.E.A. NUCLEAR DATA LIBRARY

In this paper we list the sources of information, and the nuclear reactions which were considered, in setting up nuclear data files for the following nuclides: Nb at 900°K (file 78); Nb at 300°K (file 79); and Mo at 300°K (file 81).nThis report describes the handling of neutron interaction data in terms of cross-section descriptions (p.20), angular distributions of secondary neutrons (p.21), and energy distributions of secondary neutrons (p.23). The representation of these data on punched cards is given on pp.41-45. There are also tables describing the Particular Classification Numbers (P.N.C.) on pp.8-10, and the General Classification Numbers (G.C.N.) on p.7. These two numbers form a five digit Reaction Type Number (R.T.N.) which determines the order in which sections appear in a data file (see Appendices A, B and C).
