摘要

The movements of suspensions due to the vertical motion or bounce, pitch and roll of the vehicle body are calculated. Four distinct suspension movements can be defined when a suspension without steering is considered. These motions are, forward velocity, lateral velocity, camber rotation and geometric steer rotation. When a typical front suspension is analysed a fifth degree of freedom, rotation about the king pin, is present.nVector notation is used throughout since this gives easily manipulated equations which are suitable for implimentation by digital computation.
