摘要

The deformations of a fuel rod for an atomic reactor are very complex functions of time, temperature, etc. These deformations are in general three dimensional. At the present time no exact analytical methods to predict these deformations are available. In this report we describe an approximate numerical method and computer program for the analysis of an axisymetric model of the fuel element, which includes pellet and effects. This work was done as part of the LWRR fuel element development work aimed at determining pellet and effects on fuel and cladding deformations and stresses.
