EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUE FOR FORMING SENSITIZED PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM TO A SPHERICAL SHAPE

A process for forming sensitized polyester-base photographic film to a spherical shape using heat and a pressure differential has been developed at Lawrence Radiation Laboratory, Liver-more. The curvature has remained stable over a period of three years, and film and emulsion quality have remained high. This forming has been accomplished with a minimum of fogging and break¬down of emulsion in the form of pin¬holes or cracks.
