The measurement of the airflow distribution in large ducts with one anemometer can be very time consuming, and is subject to errors due to changes in the airflow during the period of measurement. The system described uses a number of anemometers equally spaced across the duct being investigated. A multi-channel readout gives a good representation of the velocity distribution.
