Fisher Apparatus Measurement Average Particle Diameter in Powder Metallurgy

The use and advantages of the Fisher apparatus in quickly identifying the average diameter of pow¬der particles are discussed. Theoretical bases for measuring average particle diameters by the perme-ability method are presented. It is shown that when using the Fisher apparatus in research one must in¬troduce correcting coefficients.
