This report provides on assessment of present analysis procedures used in the design of nuclear power plants for seismic loads. The objective is to define the most reliable analysis procedures currently available, and to indicate where additional studies can develop improved procedures at a modest cost and within a reasonable period of time. It is based upon our analytical, design and research experience on problems associated with the design of nuclear power plant systems for seismic loads.
