COMPUTER GRAPHICS PATCHING OF HPD FAILED EVENTS

A system of programs is described for the rescue of bubble chamber events which, having been measured on the automatic Hough Powell Device;subsequently fail in the Geometrical reconstruction of the event from its three views. Selected regions of the events are displayed on a computer-controlled CRT, and faults in the pattern recognition processes of track-finding repaired by an operator using a light-pen. The results are subsequently merged with the good events onto a new Geometry-input magnetic tape.
