摘要

LMFBR plants utilizing;four-module core and single-module core reactors were optimized with the Westinghouse FABROC code and the SFBROPT optimization code developed under this contract. The results of this optimization coupled with parametric studies indicate a 0.41 mill/kWh lower power cost with the single module (unspoiled positive sodium voiding geometry) as contrasted with a four-module core. The optimization code was found to have consider¬able flexibility, i.e. it was possible to come up with a single plant using standard temperatures and pressures at marginal penalty to satisfy both single- and four-module core reactors.
