RESPONSE OF A RIGID BODY WITH SIX DEGREES OF FREEDOM ON NONLINEAR SUPPORTS SUBJECTED TO GROUND SHOCK FROM AN UNDERGROUND NUCLEAR DETONATION
A new shock mounting configuration, called the Universal Guided Column (U.G.C.) System, being used to protect sensitive electronic equipment subjected to ground shock from an underground nuclear detonation, is described. An analytical study of the U.G.C. system is presented.
