摘要

Four programs, FIRESTAR, are described for the evaluation of a wide variety of X-ray powder diffraction measurements. If the Miller indices of the measured X-ray reflections are known, the dimensions of the crystallographic unit cell can be derived by the program appropriate to the crystal system. The results can be treated according to a variety of crystallographic extrapolation functions and may be weighted by Hess' method. The programs are written in Algol and each occupies less than 10K of store.nA program, FIRECRACKER, is described which determines calibration constants for an X-ray powder diffractometer from measurements made on a standard material which possesses cubic crystal symmetry and a known lattice parameter.
