Chelation of Transition Metals By Derivatives of 3-Nitroso-2-pyridinol and 5-Nitroso-4-pyrimidol

Our investigation on have been centered around a somewhat systematic investigation of the complexation of nitrosopyridinols and nitrosopyrimidinols. During the contract period since January 15, 1971, we have been investigating two of these reagents, one nitrosopyridinol, (3-nitroso 2, 6-pyridinediol) and one nitrosopyrimidinol(2,6-diamino-5-nitrosopyrimidi.nol)Both investigations have led to manuscripts which have been accepted for publication in the journal MIKROCHIMICA ACTA. Both publications are currently in press. Six zeroxcopies of galley proofs are included for one publication, and six zeroxcopies of the manu¬scripts submitted for publication are included for the second publication.
