Pilot Plant for Production of a Mixture of Raw Dicarbonic Acids from Shale

A pilot plant was constructed at the city of Slantsky for producing dicarbonic acids from shale flotation concentrates. The basic layout is given. A suspension of the concentrates and alkali is oxidized in a shell-and-tube gas lift reactor. After cooling, dibasic acids are extracted by ethyl acetate. This extraction will be replaced by a sorption method for better separation. 1 figure. (ERA citation 06:019816)
