Use of ANZhR-1 Type Electrodes for Repairing Power Engineering Equipment Without Pre-Heating and Post-Heat Treatment

In the equipment installed at modern steam power plants wide use is made of components cast from creep-resisting steel. Defects (cracks, pores slag inclusions) are very frequently found in such components - during both manufacture and operation. The replacement of defective components gives rise to certain difficulties and, as a rule, the defects are repaired by welding at the manufacturers or under the conditions encountered at a power station. Recommended welding current regimes are given for the ANZhR-1 type electrodes. Some experiences with this electrode are described. (ERA citation 11:016655)
