A PROGRESS RETORT OF THE PANEL ON PERMANENT STOOGE OF RADIOACTIVE SEPARATIONS PROCESS WASTES IN BEDROCK ON THE SAVANNAH RIVER PLANT SITE

摘要

The present document is in the nature of a progress report resulting from evaluations of current data by the individual members of the Panel, within the purview of the specialized experience of each of them. The general conclusions are tentative in nature, and formulated primarily to disclose the desirability of further studies made evident by the comprehensive investigations of the past months.nThe observations are directed primarily at the following considerations:(1) hydrologic implications, (2) geochemical indications, (3) geologic aspects, (4) design and construction features, (5) the problems of radiolysis gas for mation, and (6) the possibilities of the retrieval of wastes.
