A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING THE FRACTIONAL DISTRIBUTION OF TRIVALENT ACTINIDE SPECIES IN SODIUM SULFATE—SULFURIC ACID SOLUTIONS

A FΦRTRAN IV program for calculating the fractional distribution of the trivalent actinide species (M3+ MSO4+, M2(S04)3, M(S04)2-， and M(S04)33- in aqueous sodium sulfate--sulfuric acid solutions is described. A set of desired total sulfate concentrations (maximum, 1-5 M) and a desired sulfuric acid activity may be specified. Solution composition (total sulfate and H2S04 molarity), sulfate ion concentration, and ionic strength are tabulated. Actinide species distribution is tabulated and may be plotted as a function of total sulfate or sulfate ion concentration.
