Tables of Coefficients for Analysis of Angular Distribution of Gamma Radiation from Oriented Nuclei

Tables of coefficients are presented for use in analysis of angular distributions of nuclear electromagnetic radiation emitted by oriented nuclear states. Values of the orientation parameters, Bk (evaluated for magnetic dipole interactions);deorientation coefficients, Uk;and angular distribution coefficients, Ak (in terms of F-coefficients Fk), are tabulated for transitions of multipolarity up to octupole, and for nuclear levels of integral and half-integral spins up to eight. A brief table of Legendre polynomials,Pk, is also provided. The matrix elements employed in defining the gamma-ray multipole mixing ratios are defined explicitly.
