SOME IMPLICATIONS OF THE COMPUTER SIMULATION OFnDISPLACEMENT CASCADES IN RADIATION DAMAGE MODELING

In this Interim report some implications of computer simulation studies of displacement cascades are discussed. The referenced studies are the cascade simulations due to Beeler and the subsequent short-term annealing simulations carried out by the author. Estimates obtained with different models are given for the production rates of displacements and of free and clustered defects in EBR-II and FTR core spectra at low fluences.
