FFT-W. A PROGRAM FOR FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM BAND-PASS FILTERING OF LARGE AMOUNTS OF DATA

The program, FFT-W, was written to provide a method of accomplishing fast Fourier transform digital band-pass filtering of extremely large amounts of data on a computer with storage limitations. A "window" tech nique has been developed to filter segments of the data by reflecting input data points at the beginning and end of the input array and using adjacent points of the input array when away from the end points. The program, while not providing any new analytical procedures, does allow for any amount of data to be filtered.
