A simple technique for the determination of the molybdenum content of molybdenum-coated plutonium dioxide particles has been devised. This technique utilizes the oxidation of molybdenum metal and the decomposition of a plutonium-molybdenum-oxygen ternary complex to determine the molybdenum content.
