Nanosecond Framing Cameras Using Proximity Focused Image Intensifiers

Two high-speed framing cameras have been developed using proximity focused image intensifiers. Both cameras have low jitter and easily ad¬justable frame separation from overlapping to several times the frame duration. Spatial resolution for both cameras is 10 line pairs/mm on the intensifier photocathodes. Frame durations are 10 nsec for the first generation camera and 5 nsec for the second generation camera.
