摘要

A survey of 46 miniature swine has revealed that of 34 animals with either myeloproliferative or lympho-proliferative disorders, 21 had demonstrated virus-like particles in their tissues or in plasma pellet preparations. Even more significant, was the finding that 15 of 19 animals with myelogenous or lymphocytic leukemia had virus-like particles present. In contrast, no virus like particles. Were observed in preparations from the 12 control animals.nCytopathogenic adenoviruses have been isolated from both normal and leukemic swine. These agents are probably only opportunistic passenger viruses but they may interact with type C viruses to enhance the leukemogenic process.
