Resolution of the Sodium-20 Beta Decay Anomaly

An apparent hindrance of the superallowed Fermi decay 2O Na(β+)2ONe(lO.277 MeV, T-l) is explained. This anomaly is removed by estimates showing that the process 24Mg(p,2n)23Al(β+)23Mg(O. O) (of indistinguishable half-life and endpoint energy) interfered with previous measurements of g(PsQfn)20 Ha(β+) Ne(1.633 Nev).
