ANION EXCHANGE RECOVERY OF RHODIUM FROM PALLADIUM-FREE ALKALINE SOLUTIONS

Strongly basic anion exchange resin removed rhodium from alkaline Purex supernatant wastes from which cesium and palladium had been removed. A two cubic centimeter resin bed was recycled 14 times using 250 bed volumes of feed per loading cycle. Removal of rhodium from the resin was accomplished by elution with nitric acid.
