The needs for nuclear-trained engineers will continue to increase, at least moderately, for the next several years. The overall drop presently persisting in engineering enrollments as a whole could forecast a serious deficiency in adequately trained personnel to meet the manpower needs of the growing nuclear power industry and the continuing nuclear research and development activities, as well as those caused by attrition.
