RETENTION AND EXCRETION OF INJECTED SODIUM 181-TUNGSTATE IN BEAGLE DOGS

Retention and excretion were measured in purebred beagle dogs, 18 months old, given 1.5 to 2.3 Ci of sodium 181-tungstate in normal saline. The dogs were injected in the cephalic vein with 1 to 1.5 ml of the tungsten solution. Urine and feces were collected separately and body burdens were determined by in-vivo gamma counting.
