摘要

It is therefore apparent from the data shown above that X-irradiation of the 2-1/2 day old pupil stage of the male house fly results in the 1) an increase in the lifespan and 2) enhancement of the activity levels of enzyme systems concerned with the energizing of flight, with the indication that the enhancement of the rate of protein synthesis by such X-irradiation, at a very early point in the adult stage, is one of the important mechanisms by which the male house fly's flight ability is extended and enhanced, by such high energy radiation exposure both as regards duration of flight and availability of energy therefore.
