RADIATION PROTECTION ENROLLMENT AND DEGREE SURVEY ENROLLMENTS-FALL 1972 DEGREES GRANTED JULY 1965-JUNE 1972

Form AEC-617 was used again and, at the suggestion of many of last year's respondents, a supplementary form was attached to collect additional information regarding the placement of degree recipients, including a breakout of those recipients who returned to previously held positions.nIn addition to the four curriculum subfields on Form AEC-617, seven others were supplied by the respondents. Table I shows enrollments in the fall of 1972 and degrees granted July 1971 through June 1972 by these curriculum subfields. Again this year, the health physics, radiation health or radiation protection curriculum subfields accounted for over SO percent of total enrollments (S2.4) and degrees gnnted (54.3). Out of the seven other subfields radiopharmaceuticals and environmental health were significantly larger in both enrollments and degrees granted. Table 5 is a list of all curriculum subfields or options by institution.
