1. We were able to develop a rapid and efficient method for automatic counting of large numbers of seminal fluid samples, which compared precisely with the visual hemacytometer method (r = .99). The success of this Coulter counter method depended on developing 3 diluents that would not only lyses white cells, but would also dissolve the crystals and prostatic inclusion granules normally found in seminal fluid.
