ESTIMATION OF THE WORKING CAPACITY OF FUEL JACKETS OF FAST REACTORS

The working capacity of the fuel jacket is estimated with respect to both the long-term strength (on the basis of the hypothesis of the summation of damages) and the intensity of accumulated strain during the service life.nThe paper presents the results of calculations of the strength of the fuel element of a fast reactor with a jacket of austenitic steel and fuel tablets of sintered uranium di¬oxide.
