MEDICAL X-RAY DOSE ESTIMATION PROGRAM

摘要

During this reporting period over 400 individual calculations have been completed for 4 x 4 cm beams of monoenergetic photons of 30, 55, and 80 keV. These data in the form of computer printouts and on magnetic tape have been transmitted to the Bureau of Radiological Health. In addition, the phantom geometry has been modified to include a rounded head, the separated legs, a more realistic location for the testes, the relocation of the eye regions, and the resolution of the "two-thyro1d" problem. Optimization of the computer code has resulted in the further reduction in running time by more than a factor of two.
