COST ESTIMATE FOR THE LIMESTONE WET SCRUBBING SULFUR OXIDE CONTROL PROCESS

A cost model for a commercially available full-scale sulfur oxide control process is presented for use in the Oak Ridge National Laboratory CONCEPT II computer code. Stack gases from a coal-fired and from an oil -fired plant are treated similarly by limestone in the wet scrubbing process. Included are mid-1972 costs at the subaccount levels for equipment, site labor, and materials, as well as the bases for estimating the various accounts and the special information related to making the estimates. Operating and maintenance coats are also estimated.
