This report is the fourth in a series of quarterly progress reports published under the LMFBR shielding development program (PA-62). Both experimental and analytical work on axial and radial shields is being conducted with the experimental part being performed at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Tower Shielding Facility. Activities and technical progress for the period October through December 1972 are reported. The major topics include program definition and scheduling, experimental measurements, analytical studies, and comparisons between experimental and calculated data.
