The objectives in the second year of this study were essentially the same as those of the first year.n1. To determine the grafting parameters for the preparation of hydroxyalky1 methacrylate surface grafts onto polypropylene and polydimethyl siloxane substrates.n2. To vary the thickness and water content of the grafted layers.n3. To study the relationship between protein adsorption and the thickness and water content of the graft;to develop a model for the adsorptive behavior of hydrogel/water interfaces.
