Studies of Drosophiia Dispersal and Migration by Neutron Activation and Genetic Techniques

There have been two particularly active subareas in the Hawaiian research project, the first associated with development of analytical techniques for population density data, and the second relating to the further analysis of dispersal parameters of the Hawaiian Drosophila. The analysis and interpretation of the Hawaiian experiment is nearing completion at the moment, and it is anticipated that several manuscripts will be prepared and submitted for publication before the end of this year. A preliminary report of this work was made at the Population Biology Institute held at the University of Houston this past summer. (Two presentations were allotted to these data.
